Re: MSFS Sim Update 10 arrives tomorrow
Did a 2 hour night flight in the Justflight BAe from LOWS to EGKK and it seemed to be not just visually nicer and smoother, but the plane seemed to fly quite a bit smoother and less sensitive than my last flight in it, so some of their other tweaks appear to have had positive effects as well. Will b...

Re: Video: Battleship Texas Being Towed To Drydock
Great to see USS Texas safely in the dock. Some people had expressed fears that if her lower hull was so weakened by corrosion, she might not be able to support her own weight once out of the water. As far as I know, she's holding up at the moment. According to the Battleship Texas crew, the only r...

Re: Video: Battleship Texas Being Towed To Drydock
Have been watching the stream off and on. They're making great time. They were under the Fred Hartman bridge a full 2.5 hours early to give you an idea of how well it's been going. As I post this, they're about to make the turn into the Galveston Ship Canal and several YouTube and broadcast channels...

Re: August 29 1233 GMT Artemis Launch
A launch date is set for Friday September 2 at 12:48 EDT. (1648 GMT) A statement from launch officials are giving it a better than zero chance of liftoff. *-) .. I have no idea what that means but it sounds sketchy :S I think that allusion was that the weather Friday is looking pretty questionable ...

Re: Sad News
I bet he'd have loved MSFS, though humorously critical in his own inimitable way. I can only imagine the fun he'd have shooting up the MSFS scenery using his King George V battleship. https://cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb/viewtopic.php?p=271480#p271480 Rest in peace Dave. All the best to his family. B...

Re: News: American Airlines Announces Agreement to Purchase Boom Supersonic Overture Aircraft, Places Deposit on 20 Over
I think it's interesting that both United and American have bought in on this. That's for sure. I wonder how much money UA and AA have invested in this enterprise? :dunno: Coming off of the Covid pandemic, I can't imagine any major airline that has loads of spare cash to invest in this aircraft. I ...

Re: News: American Airlines Announces Agreement to Purchase Boom Supersonic Overture Aircraft, Places Deposit on 20 Over
I think it's interesting that both United and American have bought in on this. There's been other projects in the past, but none gotten actual full buy-in. I think this is the best indication that the airlines actually think there might be a business case for these airplanes. We'll see.
