Emerald Grounded

Reports are comming in the Emerald Airways has been grounded

All I know is on the news it has said they have had their operators license withdrawn due to safetly issue.

A bit sketchy at the moment

Anyone else know anything?

Radio report at 1300 gives out that the CAA have suspended the AOC

After safety checks and daily monotoring of operations over the past few weeks they are satified the airline are unable to meet safety standards and have revoked the license.

That may explain why there was a strange looking prop on the cargo ramp at Edinburgh last night. As we came in to land there was a 4 engined prop with blades like shovels being loaded with mail. It was electra style but russian looking. Not sure of the type. It had AA logo on the tail, and a bird of prey on the fusalage, and at first I thought it was a new Atlantic Airlines logo. :shock:

I thought the only Ruskie's AA had were the Tu204 and An72 Ben :think: The Electra would make sense :wink:

Update... it was an electra... :redface:

the paint arround the nose confused me.... here she is, not sure if its the same reg, but its the same livery. :smile:
