Thanks for posting that Ben. Ooops, sorry Ben, as I was writing this my thoughts were of Dave in the Birthday Thread.
As far as the Spitfire goes for take-offs and landings I prefer using the Cliffs of Dover Spitfire MK1a 100 oct. Full right aileron and right rudder until speed builds then let the tail up and gently centralise control column and be careful with the rudder. Landing it is a dream, Crosswind at 90deg to the runway then a steady turn to finals and over the hedge at 90kts then check back gently.!!
