Display driver interrupt
Recently, I've been copping a few short-term interruptions, followed by a report that
"DISPLAY DRIVER STOPPED WORKING, BUT HAS NOW RECOVERED"
Can anyone explain, or suggest a cure, please?

Re: Display driver interrupt
TBH, I hadn't George. Thanks for that. My only excuse might be the antibiotics and pain relief that I'm on. Root canal required, trying to work out if we can afford it.GHD wrote: ↑24 Jul 2020, 09:58Have you tried Goog;=le?

This morning's stop was immediately after start up, so it shouldn't have been CPU overloaded with running programmes;
maybe it's the other thing-serious underlying problem.

Must be catching Mike. I, too, am on antibiotics but for an abscess in the jaw under a wisdom tooth. These drugs do make simple things a little difficult don't they.
Get well soon.

Re: Display driver interrupt
I bought a cheap(?) AMD Radion HD 7670 some time back when the old one packed up, but I did notice that the new one was lacking an authenticity label compared with the old one. Occasionally this new one will throw up that message, usually if I'm google earthing on two screens & moving about on one of those screens, so methinks it overloads. I do also get the occasional blank screen on both or just one screen at start up, otherwise it seems OK.
Maybe yours is telling you its getting tired?

Re: Display driver interrupt
Mike, it happened to me once, but only once, and so I never bothered trying to find out why. I wonder if there is one single person in the world who knows how computers do all the things they are supposed to do, and why they sometimes don't.

It's probably Ben, but he can't answer EVERY question due to life commitments.
Thanks for the suggestions, All.

Re: Display driver interrupt
That's right where mine was, Allan, on the lower left.
Now had stage 1 root canal procedure, am off the antibiotics and pain relief.
I know what you mean about the drugs; it's been a few days since I stopped them, but the effects linger on, and are just as demanding.

Did you spell it like that because according to "The IT Crowd" "If you type "Google" into Google, you'll break the internet." George?
