When this post came up I was watching documentary on Matt Monro on YT (

The great ones make it look so easy, don't they? My favorite line from the documentary was
"If David Niven could sing he would have sung like Matt Monro."

I think the styles in the 70's were great, brings back memories of our hosties with Alidair, knee high blue leather boots, short skirts and you get high on the Channel #5....
whoops getting carried away here.

Here's what ours were wearing back in the early 70's.

They dress a bit more conservatively today.

Everytime I see that ad, I'm reminded of two things:
1) I was born 20 years too late.
2) That girl must have had the world's thickest pair of earplugs.
She gets a gold star for her ability not to flinch, too. I feel like ducking even though I'm just sitting at my desk.
