Classic British Flight Sim

You've probably heard, on your local science programme, that they've changed the explanation as to why tardigrades can live for 30 years without a hint of water.

And your local astronomers have, no doubt, shared the thought that there is most likely more than one universe. I still can't get my head around this, as "uni" has to mean "one", and if there are multiples, then they all must only be part of the new much bigger UNIVERSE.

Whatever, these two items alone are enough to convince me that "my football team/religion/politics/etc, are better than yours" all shrink into total insignificance.

The above two revelations in no way reduce the importance of frame rates in flight simulators, but do deserve some consideration.

Mike I agree that the uni/ mutliverse business is mind boggling.In fact only last night I was watching a prog on tv where an astronomer/scientist was investigating the possibility of the existence of multiple infinite universes! Believe It or not he never even mentioned FS! EricT

Eric, glad you have witnessed the same reports. Was it Prof. Brian Cox, by any chance?
Tardigrades:
400 is not far off it. Keith, when you take into account that they can survive +150C to -200C!
They're also happy in the vacuum of space and suck up Gamma and X-rays like I do breakfast cereal.
Pressure of our deepest seas doesn't bother them, but they have tiny skeletons, and can be crushed if hit the right way.

Mike the programme was one of the Horizon series,entitled ' How Big Is The Universe?' It was shown on BBC4 on Tuesday at 20.00 GMT. I don't think It featured Brian Cox. EricT
