I'll have to try V, in FSX, and have a squizz at Snapper, to see how it goes outside of FS.
When I'm doing grabs from anywhere, I've been in the habit of hitting PrtScn, which launches Postimage, allowing me to select the screen area.
Then I save, and it's at that point that it sometimes goes to the last folder used, but at others, chooses Sys32. Once they've gone there, they ARE gone!
Haven't seen any preference settings in Pi that I can tweak.

I also use Postimage, and just press the V key to capture my screenshots. They are stored automatically in a folder called FSX, which is within my Pictures folder. I don't actually like the new version of Postimage, so I just click on the old site link. Just browse to the FSX pictures, select whatever, and then load. They then go to My Images, from where I upload to whichever forum I require.

So easy, even an old Pom can do it.
