Very sad news indeed. And, as if it wasn't enough, Spitfire MK912 has had to perform a forced landing at Biggin Hill today. Thankfully the pilot, Dan Griffith, escaped without major injuries.

That's very sad...I was watching them fly the gnats last week at Marham...They were the last item in the program and a red and a yellow gnat performed together and flew very nicely. I took some pictures of them...They were at the end of my Part Three post. The pilot of the crashed gnat was RAF trained on fast jets and was married with a young daughter. I feel so sad for them.

Deeply saddened to read of the passing of Kevin Whyman, in the tragic accident involving the Folland Gnat at the CarFest event.
