Lightning F3 Simulator - Help Wanted

LOL, how to hijack a thread in one easy lesson. I would still be interested in any information about Lightnings for Flight Sim if anyone can help, though. Please.

we have one

out of the Box, FSX is a better sim enviroment
using the same computer , graphics card ect. FSX is running smoover than FS9
however FS9 has much more in the way of scenery for the older airports and scenery
another advantage for FS9 , Peter M's scenery and , a lot of other good stuff.
But I cannot turn back now, which isn't to say I'll never use FS9
I still have it all, so maybe someday I'll revisit the old world, as it were.... is :think:

The problem is that any FSX Lighting will be a 'port-over' and may not run as a true native aircraft. I would imagine that the Alphasim FS9 Lightning could be used (if a plug is given on the sim itself).

I love the looks on the faces of Peter and his colleagues! It really looks like here is the latest 'hot rod' fighter and we (all fighter jocks) are stuck on a bloody ground tour watching lights flah and a pen move.

It's been a while now, but I'm nearly sure that the Alphasim Lightning uses some FS98 gauges which are not supported by FSX. I wasn't impressed! Unfortunately, the otherwise reasonable Alphasim TSR2 is the same... :-(

I would agree that the UKMIL Lightning in FSX is probably your best bet.

I would also look into only having a single display for the visuals and working to have the real gauges work. There are several ways to do it and as the gauges are already properly rigged for such imputs, all you have to do is wire up the boards. This would save you a lot of time and probably some money as you won't have to make any changes to the panel itself.
