Re: VC10 at Kai Tak
That's how it's designed to work Skip and how it works in FSX. I couldn't try it in P3D as I don't have it

Re: VC10 at Kai Tak
Thanks for all the hard work, guys, but the view we are looking for is the one that 'raises the seat' to look over the panel, not tilting the view. This is the view that in FS9 was called 'Always pan up/dn' and in FSX was called 'Eyepoint move up/dn'. this is the one that doesn't seem to have a command in P3D 1.4 for 2D panels.
Ben has found that this command doesn't work even on the default aircraft and I've worked my way through all (I think) commands in P3D to try and find it.

Re: VC10 at Kai Tak
Haven't got P3D yet, but FSUIPC 4.84 is for FSX and P3D - does it offer anything?
Hope this helps

Hi Chaps, and Ian,
Before venturing out in the VC10 with that modified gauge I'd make sure you put the old one back. The engines wont start in FSX without using CTRL+E and, much to my amusement I'm en route to Nicosia with no working fuel gauges!

Sounds like sabotage to me! Thanks for the warning, Ben. Hope you get there safely.

Ian, you're up far too early to be cracking those
I think the cab I have is one DM / Dan modified for FSX.... I'll check later on and let you know

Re: VC10 at Kai Tak
Ok.. so it's my fault then is it
Those privvy to the 'inner sanctum' will be able to cast their minds back to when Garry was making the CL-44. DM was assisting with some of the code and he said he'd found a way around the eyepoint prob with 2D panels in FSX and posted the code. This is that code.. no more, no less
Not very good PFC's mate if you've taken off with duff fuel gauges. Don't tell me.. they were working when you first checked Serves you right as far as I'm concerned
To be serious for a moment if I may.. I've no idea why your engines won't start off the switches now nor why the fuel gauges won't work. Is this FSX or P3D you're talking about? I'll have a look in FSX here but I can't say one way or the other if these things worked in FSX before as I've never flown the 10 in that sim
EDIT: OK.. the fuel gauge seems to work fine on DM's original but I can't get the engines to start off the switches.. only Ctrl+E. No idea why unless something got bent during the cab process

Re: VC10 at Kai Tak
I blame the FE
LOL, The version of the CAB I have is the current one from his site as I had to re download it after my backup fiasco when I moved to Windows 8.
Here is the one I'm using without the eyepoint bits....

This is the one that seems to work in FSX with Fuel Gauges and starters
