HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY
26th January is our big day to insult the Flag by wearing thongs (Brit flip-flops) made in China, emblazoned with our red white and blue masterpiece.
We can also sit on it as a beach towel, or dribble barbeque fat down an apron likewise "decorated". What ever happened to flag etiquette?
All the same, Happy Australia Day, wherever you may be!

Happy Australia Day!! Hopefully today's weather will be a bit cooler than it has been lately. Mike, here in the US flag etiquette comes right after the almighty dollar. Sad, isn't it?

I have to say she's awesome. Does everyone dress like that there today? I might need to emigrate. Actually I might need to anyway, but that would be another good reason to do so lol

Happy Aussie Day Mike.
Happy Aussie Day Mike.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
Re: HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY
I'd certainly salute those flags! Happy Birthday to everyone down under!

Re: HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY
Don't want to sound picky, but:
The lady is "saluting" with her left hand, and the tips of her fingers should be to the side of the eyebrow.
Her right hand is unencumbered, so use of the left is incorrect.
If she is a civilian, the rules won't apply, but civilians have no need to salute.
I have the feeling that she is merely shading her eyes from an imaginary sun; I don't suppose you paid much attention to the background?
Finally, whilst I do appreciate the merits of the picture, and the kind wishes above, I'm afraid that's not an Australian flag, Joe.
btw, Elvis:
Does everyone dress like that there today?
Thankfully not! If they did, we'd need those face masks favoured by Asians, sometimes to hide smirks, sometimes to catch the vomit!
