Hi Chaps,
Once upon a time, I had a link to a website that covered wartime fonts, skins and insignia.. that sort of thing. I've looked on my old PC and can't find it there.. I've also Binged the life out of this PC and nothing looks even remotely obvious. Can anyone remember such a site and if it still exists, post a link to it.

Re: Military Font/Insignia link..
Keith is right, Simmers Paint Shop has fonts, swatches and all manner of goodies.
Here's the font download main page:
http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/forums/ ... o=cat&id=2
Here's the markings download main page:
http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/forums/ ... o=cat&id=3
To get to the colour swatches click on the link in the left side navigation window on either of the above pages.
I just went through my bookmarks looking for all my paint reference links and some of these may be of use to you too:
http://www.cbrnp.com/profiles/quarter1/index.html
http://www.fritzthefox.com/british_camo_guide.html
http://cocardes.monde.online.fr/v2html/en/alphabet.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Air_Force_roundels I've found the colours to be a bit bright on this page especially if you do a 'Save As' on the image and try and use it directly on a paint but it's useful for layout and especially proportions.

http://www.rafweb.org/Menu.htm#Equipment This site is a mine of info for all things RAF related. Scroll down to the 'Equipment' section to see all the various paint schemes used, listed by Squadron number.
Hope that helps.
