Investigators now saying they are looking at the emergency beacon as the cause of the fire.
Irony Alert beacon is now flashing.

Re: Nightmareliner Fire Closes LHR
Sad state of affairs isn't it? Pilots that can't fly a visual approach and aircraft that spontaneously combust.
"Speed building both sides.....passing one hundred knots.....V1..rotate...oh sh*t..."
Re: Nightmareliner Fire Closes LHR
How do you repair a composite hull that has had fire damage in an area where there are two doors (weak) and a pressure bulkhead?
Filler and an aerosol can of paint? I bet Halfords can do Boeing 787 white. Or maybe some Duct/Duck tape?
Is repairing composite airliner hulls unknown territory?

Re: Nightmareliner Fire Closes LHR
Might need a very big oven device to cure the repair...I am doubtful that it can safely be repaired

Get your estimate in early Dave, you're probably as experienced as anybody at this sort of repair.
