Re: Bristol 171 Sycamore in the works
i was astonished to see the screenshot of the bristol sycamore,it looked so real and just as i remembered it.in 1958 i was transported in one of these aircraft from a jungle operation in which i was serving,i particularly remembered watching the pilot using the trim wheel.as a member of hovercontrol i immediately wondered if rick has attempted to model this function.i also had the dubious pleasure of parachuting from the valletta another one of his excellent models.i am looking forward to flying the sycamore when it is issued.i would like to thank rick piper for all of the wonderful classic british aircraft he has produced ,and many of which i have flown.i hope you continue to produce craft like these for many years to come.thankyou again .regards paddy.

Hi Paddy
If you mean the rotor trim wheel then yes it's modelled and works. ( dial like structure on panel )
Can you remember what colours where used in Malaya ?.
ie: Green & Brown like an Battle of Britain era spitfire or just Khaki green overall ?.
I can only find long shots in B&W of jungle ops with the sycamore.
Regards
Rick

Hi DaveB
The reason i have been out of it is that FSDS3 does not work properly under Vista.
But the latest Beta of FSDS3.5 seems useable for me currently.
I am currently learning 3DSMax but it's hard after FSDS
