ANZAC Day 2017

Post by Airspeed »

As is fairly common, today was heralded by overnight rain, and there is drizzle in the breeze.
I appreciate cartoonist Leunig's point of view on a variety of topics, and this is another example:

Hi Mike,

There was a flypast at Auckland, NZ on ANZAC day and my favourite Harvard took part:-

I flew it many years ago with the owner, Colin Glasgow sitting in the back seat...He counted the number of turns I did in a full spin...He said it was Thirteen!

I really enjoyed the flight from Ardmore but I did manage to get the aeroplane rather oily from some of my manoeuvres...He produced some rags and stuff and I was instructed to clean it up...In those days it was not wearing this livery but was wearing cammo. It took me about an hour to get it clean and shiny :agree:
