Re: Hope for HMS Caroline
I think it was almost safe from the start of availability as Belfast Historic docks and Portsmouth have been fighting over who has it. I'd like Portsmouth myself as it would be a preferable location to see it but getting it to Portsmouth would eat into the cost, they were even suggestion of doing an...

Re: Daily Mail Reporting...New Depths of Exaggeration
They test engines with protective mesh covers over the intakes in labs - http://www.burnsmcd.com/Projects/Detail/Jet-Engine-Test-Cell-Meridian Probably not fitted in service as it's just something bigger and heavier that if hit as speed by a goose/swan/pterodactyl will get damaged, come off and get ...

Re: Daily Mail Reporting...New Depths of Exaggeration
I've only ever bought the Daily Mail once, well it might have been the Sunday Mail (or the Saturday one) as they were giving away a free director's cut version of The Wicker Man. I thought it was ironic at the time as their journalists could all easily be inhabitants of Summer Isle.

Re: Britsim OK?
I can ping it and http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/# says it's up.
but the page source code is displaying this.
Which suggests to me it's been hacked. The Russian on the right is basically talking about online telephone directories for those regions.

Re: More Adobe..
Adobe seems to have gone all screwy lately for me, well Adobe Reader has. Latest update keeps messing up pdf thumbnails, showing the wrong preview thumbnail for a pdf. I have to copy it and paste back in to fix it. Also seems to have to reload them on a regular basis when I open a folder. Also a hor...

Re: Moto GP 2013
These tell an interesting story. Fastest lap - http://resources.motogp.com/files/results/2013/QAT/MotoGP/RAC/FastLapRider.pdf?v1_42b32825 Cal faster than Pedrosa Speed trap, Yamahas down quite a bit on Honda and Ducati. Rossi got a good 342kph once, which might have been his slipstream of Crutchlow....

Re: Baroness Margaret Thatcher Dies
I personally think she was the last British Prime Minister who actually believed in being British. Since then they have all been out for themselves. The last one to have a backbone, Major sold us out to Europe (Maastricht treaty) and Blair and Brown took us deeper by signing the Amsterdam, Nice and...

Parking it behind a big hangar would be an improvement.DaveB wrote:
