Re: How Many Cars??
Open the pop-up with the Down-pointing arrow icon. By default, mine start at zero and the engines won't start without fuel! I believe the correct setting for start-up is 50%, and you should adjust at various stages of flight but if your employer isn't chary about fuel consumption you can crank them ...

Re: How Many Cars??
Hi Aharon, The biggest frustration to me when I finally moved from FS9 to FSX was the number of turboprop aircraft that were allegedly FSX compatible but were completely unstartable. Only recently I have finally discovered that FSX introduced a different start coding for turboprops, but there appear...

Re: Viscount take off problems
This is what I was using for Rick Piper's 700 in FS2004, I haven't verified it in FSX yet but I would have thought it should be fine: [contact_points] // altered point.0= 1.000, 26.6, 0.000, -7.40, 1200.0, 0.0, 2.0, 60.0, 0.25, 2.3, 0.7, 10.000, 10.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000 point.1= 1.000, -5.750, -1...

Re: Connie flyers?
The Constellations certainly did have a reputation for engine failures. If you look at records for those that crashed you will see that many did so after losing a second engine. But it may only be a certain type, I think the later (larger) ones had different engines but don't quote me. I have a DVD ...

Re: Viscount take off problems

Re: Airspeed Ambassador for FSX out now!
Hello all, I know this is an old post but I presume all here have working versions of these aircraft? The downloads at http://robertjamesrichardson.co.uk/page4.html have faulty zip files with CRC failures. In one it is just a texture that won't unzip but in Airspeed Ambassador Mk2.zip it is the mdl ...

Re: The Argosy in FSX
This is not intended as a "bump" but is just a summary of the position for me after more testing. I have done more tests and it seems about half of the turbo-props I use work fine, but the other half firmly refuse to start: WORK FINE: JBK Britannia (with FM'S FSX panel) * MS Britannia (wit...

Re: The Argosy in FSX
John, you did download the FSX Argosy from the library didn't you? That one has had the modifications to the code to let it work in FSX. :cpu: Yes, I did. I downloaded a second time just in case . . . I am at least comforted I am not being stupid and am not alone experiencing this. I thought I woul...
