Once while coming home from a daylight raid on Cherbourg my left engine quit due to lack of fuel?
Or maybe that was the Beaufighter?
Anyway it's just an excuse to post some old pictures.

Re: MSFS 2020 First Impressions
Finally purchased MSFS2020 (must be 5 or more years since I last flew a sim). Installed with default settings. First flight uneventful until taxing to the gate when Occulus home fired up and the game hung.

Saitek Yoke. Should I remove the springs?
I have the Saitek yoke. Quite old now had it for umpteen years.
I'm wondering if it would be more realistic if I remove the centering springs for bank and pitch?
Anyone done this? Technical nightmare?

MSFS2020 and VR, GPU recommendations?
I have a 1070ti and a CV1 for VR.
Thinking of upgrading the CV1 to a Quest 2.
Suggestions on a new GPU in what has become a dessert for new card availability?

The same problem will befall historic aircraft as fossil fuels give way to electricity.

Re: All our yesterdays...
I remember the Underground station of the same name, but I see that this statue wasn't erected until March 1965. I was long gone by then. :hello: I was born in 67. I guess 65 was when the Shopping Centre was built (on bomb damage iirc). Was never a total success nor was the road layout. I left Lond...

This won't mean a lot to most but it is yet another aspect of my child hood that has been consigned to history.

Working when you get older
I'm 53 and at a turning point in my working life. Not enougth years to practically retrain in anything significant. Becomming mentally tired so having difficulty keeping up with technology and trends (I work in IT). Feel like I should just become another manager because that's what old people do. Ne...
